Greg Blee Founder
Greg is a Founder of Blee Halligan. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the studio, underpinned by his ambition to create opportunities for the studio to design homes in the most environmentally demanding corners of the world. His specific interest lies in assembling some of the finest design talent to deliver on these challenges. A third generation architect, Greg spent his formative years living in an entirely off-grid home, deep in a national park in France. It was here that he designed and built two buildings by hand and in the process developed skills in robust construction detailing and assembling materials that are appropriate to the task and sit comfortably in the surrounding landscape. Greg studied at Bath University, Technische Universiteit Delft and University College London (UCL). He became an ARB and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Registered Architect in 2007.
Lee Halligan Founder
Lee is a Founder of Blee Halligan. He is responsible for the design direction of the studio. Having previously worked as Placemaking Director for a large UK architecture studio, he has honed his skills in designing for the specific geographic, climatic and cultural nuances of each site. He enjoys extracting the key opportunities of a location, in order to maximise the potential of a project. Lee leads the large scale Masterplanning phase of our projects and has been responsible for the architectural strategy and spatial layouts for Blue Cay and South Bank, among others. Lee views building in natural landscapes as a profound responsibility and approaches a design with clarity, purpose, and intentionality. Lee studied at University College London (UCL) for his BA and Masters. He became an ARB and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Registered Architect in 2005.
Michael Tite UK Director
Michael is a Director of Blee Halligan. He is responsible for innovation in the studio. He is interested in working between conventional design and new technologies in order to explore the creative potential of architecture as a time-based discipline. Michael has lead on a number of one-off villa projects such as Windbreak, Bay House and the multi-villa Sanctuary development. As a Technical Director he is also responsible for construction detailing and specification phases of projects. His role is to ensure quality assurance and robustness in construction execution, whilst also developing tools for ecological and sustainable design practice. Michael is also a Postgraduate Lecturer at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL). He studied at Manchester School of Architecture and University College London (UCL) and became an ARB Registered Architect in 2007.
Kyle Smith Planning Director
With a background in Real Estate and Development Economics, Kyle guides Blee Halligan in the viability and also the governance that underpins our work. His interest lies in how architecture can be a vehicle for change in a community as well as the broader society and in addition how design can create a positive and uplifting environment for day-to-day life. In addition to his work at Blee Halligan, Kyle has strategic roles in the TCI Airport Authority and is active in a number of non-profit initiatives. Kyle studied Engineering at the University of Leicester (UoL), has a Masters in Construction Economics and Management from University College London (UCL) and has a Professional Certification of Real Estate Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE).
Daisy Billowes Practice Director
Daisy is the Practice Director at Blee Halligan, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous innovation across the studio. With a creative background, Daisy brings insight and takes ownership of the conceptual ideas, creative projects and R&D within the company, leading HR, Marketing, Branding, and assisting the growth of Blee Halligan into new markets. As an advocate for sustainable practice, she is advancing the studio's LEED goals, championing environmentally responsible design initiatives with the wider team. With over 7 years' experience in the administrative side of Architecture, she also holds an MA from the Royal College of Art, and has her own Contemporary Art practice.
Marcus Haworth Senior Associate
Marcus has been central to Blee Halligan’s journey since its inception, in a small unheated office in Stratford. Since then, he has delivered a complete range of projects ranging from competition work to luxury private homes and multi villas developments. His personal responsibilities are to oversee and lead the design and execution of projects in the Turks and Caicos. Marcus has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the environmental challenges and construction methods used in the sub-tropics. His project Blue Cay was awarded “Best Architecture Multiple Residence” in the 2018 Caribbean Property Awards and his bespoke villa Windbreak won “Best Architecture Single Residence” in the 2019 Americas Property Awards.
Kate Slattery Associate
Kate joined our team with a wealth of professional experience in TCI. Native to the island, Kate has a deeply personal understanding of context and responsibility to deliver projects that not only benefit the clients, but also to the island itself. As a Project Lead, she focuses on large, luxury Private Residences, fostering a holistic approach to design that ensures the client’s needs are elegantly and creatively met. She has a keen focus on the support and development of our junior team members in both London and TCI. A huge advocate for architectural outreach through crafting & detail, Kate has been published in LOBBY and was awarded Education Volunteer of the Year Award from Open City, London in 2011.
Tom Etchells Associate
Harnessing over 13 years of professional architectural experience, Tom focuses on leading our masterplan for South Bank. Developing the typology surrounding it’s unique relationship with land and water, his development for the microgeographies for each site that includes the South Bank’s Boathouses, Banks Villas, Dune Villas, Lagoons Villas and Shoals Villas.
Harry Wyatt Associate
Harry is currently leading a mix of residential projects with private clients and local developers. He has seen several projects through to site from concept stage, including Casa Cascade and the Emerald Point Estate. His design interests focus on the balance between the organic and inorganic; creating an architecture that fits together in a way that somehow feels both ordered, yet unpredictable. Harry is also currently undertaking an apprenticeship programme at the University of Cambridge, to develop his thesis on sustainability in challenging natural environments.
Carrie Cavanagh Architect
Motivated by an aspiration to improve and enhance the fundamental link between human experience and space; Carrie’s expertise lies in the thoughtful design and layout of residential schemes. She is currently Project Architect for a large family residence on Long Bay, Providenciales. After graduating from University, Carrie helped relaunch the Liverpool Young Architects Society, a support network that eventually assisted in the inauguration of The Liverpool Architecture Festival in 2021. A friendly, efficient and enthusiastic member of the London Studio, Carrie believes in fostering inclusive environments that help support junior members of staff.
Paige Stapleton Architect
Paige has played a crucial role in advancing multiple projects through design stages, from concept design through to construction detailing. She is focused on understanding each client's unique brief, delving deep into their aspirations, and translating them into inspiring and meaningful designs that make a tangible impact on their day-to-day lives. During her time at The Royal College of Art, Paige was nominated for Wallpaper Magazine's Next Generation Architects & Designers 2022 and won Best Technical & Environmental project 2021, critiqued by Sou Fujimoto & Tyoshi Tane.
Harry Phillips Architectural Designer
With an emphasis on design ethos, Harry’s interests lie in his critical thinking in relation to brief, spatial and technical design. His keen eye for detail, efficiently identifies and resolves issues early on through building co-ordination, and vast knowledge on climate change and develops robust designs that reduce weather-related issues during building use. As well as being nominated for the AJ Student Prize in 2018, Harry received the Environment Design Award (UEL 2018) and the Portfolio Award for 3 years running from University of East London.
Junsoo Pak Architectural Designer
Junsoo has advanced expertise in 3D photorealistic and atmospheric visuals, assisting with concept design work and developing technical drawings on a range of projects. He is a London- based designer and brings a wide range of digital knowledge across platforms to all of our teams. Junsoo is interested in developing bespoke spatial responses that reflect the personal needs of clients, designing thoughtfully in relation to context and purpose.
Arun Nair Architectural Designer
After receiving the Sunderland Young Artists Award in 2018, Arun applied his expertise in the visual arts to the field of architecture: graduating with a BSc from Bath University in 2022. He is currently working on a range of important projects, producing technical drawings for tender packages and concept visualisations, working directly with clients. Arun specialises in 3D.
